HDHP (High Deductible Health Plan)
A health plan with a high deductible (minimum $1,650 single in 2025) that lets you contribute to an HSA.
Why it matters
HDHPs have lower premiums than traditional plans but require you to pay more before insurance kicks in. Best paired with an HSA, and best for healthy people who can absorb higher out-of-pocket costs in a bad year.
