HSA (Health Savings Account)

Triple-tax-advantaged account for medical expenses — deductible in, tax-free growth, tax-free out for medical.

Why it matters

Available only with a High Deductible Health Plan. 2025 limit: $4,300 single, $8,550 family (+$1,000 catch-up at 55+). Save receipts; you can reimburse yourself decades later. After 65, non-medical withdrawals are taxed as ordinary income (no penalty).
