SEP-IRA

A retirement account for self-employed people and small-business owners, with high contribution limits.

Why it matters

2025 limit is up to 25% of net self-employment earnings (or 20% of net for self-employed schedules), capped at $70,000. Contributions are made by the employer only, deductible from business income.
