Solo 401(k)
A one-participant 401(k) for self-employed people with no other employees.
Why it matters
Allows both employee ($23,500) and employer (up to 25% of comp) contributions in 2025, so a single self-employed earner can save far more than a SEP-IRA allows at moderate incomes. Also allows Roth contributions and loans.
